Michael Bell counsels and represents life, accident, health, and disability insurers in coverage, bad faith, and ERISA benefits litigation.  He also represents insurers and financial service companies in FINRA arbitration proceedings and related financial services litigation.  Mr. Bell has also represented insurers and business entities in commercial litigation.  He has experience as lead trial counsel in civil jury and court trials in both state and federal court.

Mr. Bell has been a frequent speaker and panelist at insurance industry meetings and conferences, including, the Eastern Claims Conference (2002 – 2012), Western Claim Conference (2003, 2006 – 2007), and the International Claim Association Annual Meeting (2004 – 2012).  He has spoken on topics including ERISA claims litigation, punitive damages after Campbell, bad faith litigation, and insurance claims practices.  He also provides to his insurance clients an in-house training program for complying with California's Fair Claims Practices insurance regulations.  Mr. Bell has also served as a member of the Chancellor's Advisory Council and as a Director on the National Alumni Board at Texas Christian University.
