The Education Law Practice Group provides comprehensive representation to public school districts, community college districts, private schools, and private colleges. In serving these educational institutions, we are committed to helping them fulfill their respective missions by providing strong advocacy and sound legal advice.
We are thoroughly familiar with all aspects of the Education Code and accompanying regulations, including Title 5 of the California Code of Regulations, as well as other state and federal laws impacting schools and colleges. We are sensitive to the unique legal issues facing public and private academic institutions. We represent our clients before the Bureau for Private Postsecondary and Vocational Education, the Public Employment Relations Board, the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission, the Department of Fair Employment and Housing, the Unemployment Insurance Appeals Board, the Board of Immigration Appeals, personnel commissions, arbitrators, and state and federal courts.
