Creating Effective Documentation

Employees are more productive when they know what is expected of them. Good documentation has many advantages including eliminating subjectivity in performance appraisal ratings, serving as a basis for training and development, as well as a source for rewards and recognition.  In addition, effective documentation is a key component in addressing performance and conduct issues and in defending an employer’s actions in litigation.
