Associate Attorney - Municipal Law/Code Enforcement

Burke, Williams & Sorensen, LLP is seeking a skilled and motivated associate attorney for our Riverside office with experience in code enforcement and general municipal law advisory work. Experience attending board and commission meetings preferred.  Candidate must be admitted by the California Bar, have excellent legal research and writing skills, and have excellent communication skills. Ideal candidate will have between 2 and 7 years of experience in public agency law, including at least 2 years of significant code enforcement work, but all qualified candidates will be considered.

Education Law Attorney - Mountain View

Burke, Williams & Sorensen is seeking a skilled and motivated attorney for our Mountain View office to join the Education Law Practice Group.  At least 5 years of experience in representing K-12 school districts in personnel, labor, charter school and student and special education law preferred.  Must have stellar writing skills, attention to detail, a strong work ethic and motivation to serve clients at the highest level.

Land Use Associate

Burke, Williams & Sorensen, LLP is seeking  a skilled and motivated land use associate with a minimum of 4+ years experience for its San Francisco office.  

Experience in land use, CEQA, and NEPA required.  The successful candidate will analyze and comment on administrative draft CEQA and NEPA documents for legal sufficiency; analyze General Plans, zoning ordinances and plot entitlement strategies; help prepare project application documents for private clients; legal research concerning land use, CEQA and NEPA topics; draft certain CEQA and NEPA documents; draft General Plan consistency, CEQA and other approval findings; and handle all aspects of land use/CEQA litigation, including administrative record prep, procedural steps, briefing, and argument.  Any experience with real estate transactional issues is a plus.  Must have stellar writing skills, attention to detail, strong work ethic, and motivation to serve clients at the highest level.
