City of Santa Clarita v. NTS

Represented Santa Clarita against a publicly-held tester of aeronautical and military component parts claiming in excess of $20 million in lost goodwill resulting from the construction of a public road. Obtained a verdict awarding no damages for loss of goodwill (and only $40,000 for the taking of real property) after 19 days of trial. Upheld on appeal as reported at 137 Cal.App.4th 264 (2006).
