Prior to joining Burke, Lindsay Samuel served as Title IX Coordinator at the University of Louisiana at Lafayette. In her role as Title IX Coordinator, she served as the designated agent of the University with primary responsibility for coordinating University Title IX compliance efforts. Lindsay oversaw compliance of University policy in relation to Title IX legal developments; implemented grievance procedures, including notification, investigation and disposition of complaints; and conducted investigations of complaints received pursuant to University discrimination and harassment policies.
Lindsay also served for five years as a staff attorney and supervising attorney at the Orleans Public Defender’s Office in New Orleans, Louisiana. During her tenure, Lindsay tirelessly and passionately represented indigent criminal defendants from arrest to verdict conducting hundreds of hearings, bench and jury trials.
Lindsay earned her B.S., magna cum laude, in Business Management and American Studies from Tulane University and her J.D. from Emory University School of Law.
