We are seeking an associate with 3-5 years of litigation experience to join our expanding team. The ideal candidate will have:
- Excellent writing, research and analytical skills
- Strong work ethic, self-starter, and team-oriented
- Admission to the State Bar of California
The associate will be expected to:
- Draft pleadings, motions, briefs, discovery requests/responses, subpoenas, and additional litigation documents
- Engage with in-house clients, experts, third-party administrators, opposing counsel, and witnesses
- Review, investigate, and assess factual and legal aspects of claims
- Take and/or defend depositions
- Assist in trial and arbitration preparation, including preparing motions in limine, jury instructions, trial briefs, exhibits, and witnesses for testimony
The pay scale for associates at Burke ranges from $140,000 – $202,000 plus annual performance based bonuses. The actual salary within that range will depend on the selected candidate’s years of practice and experience. We encourage all interested candidates to apply.
