Arti L. Ferrera

Arti Ferrera is an attorney at the San Jose office of Burke, Williams & Sorensen, LLP.  Arti has over 13 years of experience representing public and private entities in employment law matters. She has represented clients in disciplinary matters before the Civil Service Commission, administrative hearings, arbitrations, and mediations.

Arti is widely recognized for her commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion.  As Chair of the San Jose City Attorney’s Diversity and Inclusion Committee, Arti led initiative to foster belonging and inclusion within her department and legal community, which led to the Committee’s recognition by the International Municipal Lawyers Association as the Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Award recipient in 2024.  In 2024, Arti was also selected as a leadership fellow by the South Asian Bar Association.

Arti has served on nonprofit and bar association boards and continues to mentor youth and promote access to the legal profession.  Arti holds a Juris Doctorate from California Western School of Law and a Bachelor of Arts from University of California, Santa Barbara.
