Deann R. Rivard

Deann Rivard is a senior associate in Burke’s Los Angeles office.  Deann represents law enforcement officers and law enforcement agencies in civil rights violations lawsuits.

Previously, Deann was a Deputy District Attorney at the Los Angeles County District Attorney’s office where she responded to officer-involved shootings and in-custody deaths, prosecuted multiple murder cases, prepared and argued numerous motions.  She has completed over 60 felony jury trials.

Deann was a police officer with the Los Angeles Police Department for 9 years after becoming a lawyer.
