Rob Keitamo is a member of Burke’s Litigation practice group. Rob offers comprehensive counsel and representation of individuals and businesses in an array of legal disputes and civil litigation. Rob’s extensive background with real estate matters includes boundary disputes; easements; encroachments; commercial real estate litigation; contract enforcement; commercial landlord-tenant disputes; commercial lease drafting, negotiation, and review; residential lease drafting, negotiation, and review; title disputes and quiet title litigation; and “bad house” cases, including nondisclosure.
Rob has counseled and represented property owners and large real estate investment trusts (REITs) in various landlord-tenant matters, including unlawful detainer mandatory settlement conferences and bench trials. Of note, Rob assisted clients through the complex local, state, and federal emergency restrictions in effect during the COVID-19 pandemic, as well as local ordinances pertaining to the sunsetting of those restrictions. He developed litigation strategies to optimize results for clients while minimizing risk, and he effectively tailored these strategies in response to rapid legislative changes. Rob applied a collaborative and creative approach to structuring settlement agreements in high-risk, contested matters.
Rob holds a Master of Business Administration degree from the Isenberg School of Management at the University of Massachusetts, Amherst. During business school, he became a member of the Beta Gamma Sigma International Business Honor Society and the Phi Kappa Phi Honor Society, a distinction reserved for the top ten percent of his class.
Rob received his Juris Doctor degree from Santa Clara University School of Law, where he was an Associate Editor and Technical Editor for the Santa Clara Journal of International Law.
