Silas FitzGerald

Silas FitzGerald is an associate in Burke’s San Francisco office, where he is a member of the firm’s Public Law Practice Group.

His practice is dedicated to municipal law, providing legal guidance and strategic solutions to public entity clients across a spectrum of legal issues. He also contributes to the firm’s public entity defense practice.

Silas earned his J.D. for the University of California College of the Law, San Francisco (formerly UC Hastings). During his studies, he gained valuable insight into public agency operations while interning at the San Francisco City Attorney’s Office on the Real Estate and Finance team during the summer of 2023.

While attending UC Law SF, Silas distinguished himself academically by receiving the CALI Excellence for the Future Award for achieving the highest grade in Legislation and Administrative Regulation, and he also earned an Honorable Mention for Best Brief Award. Furthermore, he was actively involved in the UC Law Constitution Quarterly Journal, first serving as a Staff Editor and later taking on a leadership role as Executive Productions Editor.

Outside of his legal practice, Silas plays in a band and enjoys both live music performances and mountain biking.
