The many communities under the multi-faceted and diverse Asian American, Native Hawaiian and Pacific Islander (AANHPI) umbrella share a distinct history of rising above societal ostracization, marginalization and invisibility, remnants of which echo today. The AANHPI community shares an uncertain role in the ongoing debates around justice, equity, educational policy, socioeconomic status and political representation. This workshop will discuss how public officials and educators can help prepare our AANHPI youth find their place in a rapidly changing and complex world.
