Jackson D. Morgus

Jackson Morgus is a Senior Associate in Burke’s Oakland office. His practice primarily focuses on civil litigation with an emphasis on civil rights, constitutional law and tort liability.

Jackson is an experienced and versatile litigator, having previous experience in construction litigation, corporate litigation, partnership disputes, real estate transactions and litigation, government torts, probate litigation, estate planning, family law, insurance defense, corporate governance, and shareholder derivative actions.

Jackson studied economics and English at Santa Clara University. Jackson also attended law school at Santa Clara University, where he received an Emery Merit Scholarship and the CALI Excellence for the Future Award in Federal Income Tax.

Between undergraduate and law school, Jackson took a year to play competitive hockey for the Sun Valley Suns. After taking the bar while awaiting results, he worked for the Democratic Party on the 2016 Presidential and Wisconsin state elections.

Away from the office, Jackson is the head coach of the Santa Clara University hockey team. He enjoys playing golf and hockey, particularly with friends and family.
