Alaura L.R. McGuire

Alaura McGuire is an associate in Burke’s public law practice. She advises clients on environmental and land use matters, with a particular focus on issues arising under the California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA).

Prior to joining Burke, Alaura worked as a CEQA attorney for a small local law firm. Alaura also previously served as a Bridge Fellow with Our Children’s Trust, where she supported youth-led climate litigation across the United States and internationally, advancing efforts to secure the legal right to a safe and healthy environment for current and future generations. During law school, she gained valuable public sector and nonprofit experience through internships with the San Francisco City Attorney’s Office, East Bay Children’s Law Offices, and Legal Services for Children.
