Colleen L. Cleary

Colleen L. Cleary is a senior associate and a member of Burke, Williams & Sorensen’s Real Estate and Business and Litigation practice groups. Colleen is an accomplished litigator, who specializes in large, complex cases. Her practice involves handling all aspects of litigation from initial investigations and discovery through motion practice, settlement, trial preparation, and trial. Her experience includes successfully representing health benefit plans, retailers, and private individuals.

Colleen earned a dual J.D./M.B.A. from the University of San Francisco. While in law school, Colleen was winner of the Best Oral Advocate Award in the school’s annual moot court competition. She was also a member of the National Moot Court Competition team and the University of San Francisco’s Law Review. Colleen graduated with Business Honors. During law school, Colleen worked at the Federal Trade Commission and the Department of Justice’s Antitrust Division.

Colleen also attended the University of San Francisco as an undergraduate, where she graduated cum laude with a B.A. in English Literature and double minors in Philosophy and Legal Studies.

Colleen was recognized in The Best Lawyers in America® under Ones To Watch for Mass Tort Litigation / Class Actions – Plaintiffs (2021-2023) and in Northern California Best Lawyers under Ones To Watch for Mass Tort Litigation / Class Actions – Plaintiffs (2021-2023).  Northern California Super Lawyers Magazine named Colleen a Rising Star in 2021-2023. She was also included in San Francisco Magazine’s Top Women Attorneys in Northern California in 2021.
