Joaquin Vazquez has fervently represented public and private entities for over 13 years. In his service as an assistant city attorney for various cities, including El Segundo, Delano, El Monte, and San Fernando, he is proficient in various public law areas, including conflicts of interest, open meeting laws, public works contracts, successor agencies, affordable housing, cannabis regulations, land use and planning laws, and CEQA. Joaquin has drafted regulations and provided day-to-day counsel concerning massage establishments, check cashing facilities, commercial cannabis regulations and prohibitions, rent control, and new state laws concerning housing regulations, accessory dwelling units, and surplus land disposition requirements.

He has also managed and facilitated commercial and residential city community development and successor transactions from development solicitation through financing and disposition escrow closing. Joaquin’s litigation experience includes defense of commercial cannabis regulations and rent stabilization regulations.
