Karin A. Schambeck

Karin Schambeck is a partner with Burke Williams & Sorensen, LLP in the firm’s Public Law practice group.  Her practice focuses on advising public agency clients on general municipal law issues with an emphasis on land use and zoning.  Karin routinely handles contractual and transactional matters such as drafting various types of agreements involving small and large-scale development projects, preparing resolutions and ordinances, and advising on CEQA matters and regulations.  She is experienced with handling successor agency matters and affordable housing projects.

Prior to joining Burke Williams, Karin’s practice included representing California Fire Districts, cities, and developers in land use, real estate, environmental regulation, CEQA, and associated transactions.  Karin also has twenty-three years of experience in estate planning.

Karin was admitted to the Utah State Bar in 2001 and practiced law in Utah for four years, focusing on municipal law, land use, and estate planning. She was admitted to the California State Bar in 2006.
