Lauren S. Dossey

Lauren Dossey is a Partner at Burke, Williams & Sorensen, LLP specializing in the defense of law enforcement agencies and officers. With a deep understanding of both criminal and civil law enforcement matters, Lauren brings a wealth of experience to cases involving complex constitutional and statutory issues.

Prior to joining the firm, Lauren served as a Senior Deputy District Attorney for the County of Riverside for over 16 years. In that role, she developed substantial courtroom and trial expertise, successfully handling high-profile criminal and statewide civil law enforcement cases. She was selected to lead the Cannabis Regulation Task Force, which earned the California District Attorneys Association (CDAA) Award for Excellence in recognition of its innovative and effective regulatory enforcement strategies. In addition to her litigation work, Lauren has routinely led trainings for attorneys, law enforcement members, and statewide regulatory agencies across California on a variety of topics including advanced litigation strategies, Fourth Amendment search and seizure, and California consumer protection laws. Lauren’s extensive background in litigation makes her a highly skilled advocate in the courtroom and a trusted advisor to clients navigating high-stakes legal challenges.

Outside of the office, Lauren enjoys cooking, traveling, and watching her kids play youth sports.
