Marc Barraza Tran

Marc Barraza Tran is an attorney in Burke’s Public Law practice group. Marc’s practice includes both litigation and transactional representation pertaining to public law and constitutional law. His practice also includes housing, real estate, land use and zoning, and environmental law.

He previously served as the City Attorney for the City of Adelanto, Assistant City Attorney for the cities of Bell Gardens and La Puente, and Deputy City Attorney for dozens of cities throughout the state.

Marc earned his law degree from the University of California, College of the Law, San Francisco (formerly Hastings College of the Law), where he was Production Editor for the Hastings Communications and Entertainment Law Journal. During law school, he served as judicial extern for the Honorable Virginia A. Phillips of the U.S. District Court for the Central District of California and the Honorable Carol D. Codrington of the Fourth District Court of Appeal. He also interned with the San Francisco City Attorney’s Office, the San Francisco Board of Supervisors, and the AIDS Legal Referral Panel.

Prior to attending law school, Marc was a community organizer in the Inland Empire. He earned his undergraduate degree, cum laude, from the University of California, Riverside. He is licensed to practice law in the State of California.

In his spare time, he enjoys cooking and whittling.
