Natassia Kwan

For over a decade, Natassia has successfully defended public agencies, corporations, and private clients in litigation. Natassia has litigated complex matters in state and federal courts through trial, including serving as lead trial counsel for a California city that resulted in a complete defense verdict.  Natassia’s practice spans a broad range of litigation, including dangerous condition of public property, negligence, tort, contract, product liability, employment (including discrimination, harassment, retaliation, wrongful termination), false advertising, class action, and other personal injury matters. She has handled cases from start to finish – from initial claim investigation, discovery, depositions, motions, expert evidence, mediation, all the way through trial.

Before joining Burke Williams & Sorenson, Natassia served as a Deputy City Attorney for the City & County of San Francisco as a member of the San Francisco City Attorney’s Office Trial Team between 2020 to 2024. Natassia was fortunate to also train from renowned trial lawyers at two large law firms in San Francisco, where she litigated high-profile mass tort matters and contentious product liability and employment disputes.

Beyond her litigation practice, Natassia is highly engaged in the legal community. She currently serves in the national leadership of the American Bar Association (ABA) Section of Litigation, as Co-Chair of the Employment Litigation Committee and the Judicial Internship Opportunity Program (JIOP) Alumni Engagement Chair. In 2023, Natassia received the prestigious American Bar Association Laurie Miller Public Service Award and was also named a Top 40 Young Lawyer by the American Bar Association in 2018. Natassia’s achievements and community engagement have led to meetings with the Chief Justice of the Supreme Court, the Prime Minister of the United Kingdom, and the White House.
