Additionally, he has dedicated over 1,000 hours of community service combined to the following organizations: San Diego City Attorney’s Office, Legal Aid Society, Clean Slate Clinic, and Elder Law & Advocacy. This time spent provided him with invaluable experience in the San Diego Superior Court second chairing trials, arguing motions, appearing on hearings, assisting victims of domestic violence, elder abuse, and aiding in unlawful detainer matters.

When not working, Nathan enjoys playing soccer, surfing, and snowboarding.

Nathan Andersen played a pivotal role in a notable legal victory as part of the defense team with his prior firm, which successfully obtained a defense verdict against a business and its driver after a three-week trial. The case involved a plaintiff who sued for injuries sustained from a rollover collision, attributed to the negligence of co-defendants in securing a load of large metal water pipes, leading to an accident on I-5 southbound. Despite facing allegations of client’s fault, including speeding, and making an unsafe lane change, the defense, bolstered by Nathan’s efforts, argued effectively using the sudden emergency doctrine. This strategic approach convinced the jury of the co-defendant’s sole responsibility for the incident, resulting in a $1.7 million damages award against them. This achievement underscores Nathan’s critical contribution to the defense team’s success in navigating complex litigation and securing favorable outcomes for clients.
