Anthony E. Castillon-Mendoza

Anthony Castillon-Mendoza is an associate in Burke’s Litigation Practice Group, working in the San Diego office.  He graduated from The University of Notre Dame with a bachelor’s in Political Science and with a minor in Italian Studies.  After graduation, Anthony attended UC Davis School of Law where he graduated as a member of the Order of the Barristers.  The Order of the Barristers is an honor bestowed upon the top ten students of a graduating class for their oral advocacy in trial practice, appellate advocacy, or negotiations.

After graduating law school, Anthony began working as an Assistant District Attorney for the County of Santa Cruz where he rapidly obtained courtroom and trial experience.  At the outset of the COVID-19 pandemic, Anthony joined Noland, Hamerly, Etienne & Hoss  in Salinas, California where his practice focused on residential evictions, landlord-tenant habitability disputes and other insurance defense matters.  During the COVID-19 pandemic, Anthony and his spouse moved to San Antonio, Texas where he obtained his Texas law license and practiced insurance defense with Farmers Insurance.

Anthony joined Burke, Williams & Sorensen, LLP in August 2024 after leaving Farmers Insurance.  His practice focuses on landlord-tenant disputes, residential and commercial evictions, HOA litigation and general insurance defense.
